Soft Practice Studio is a textile-driven design studio specializing in material research, design, custom sampling, fabrication, and experiential projects.
We collaborate with interior designers, art consultants, brands, and creative teams to develop material samples, installations, and activations that translate textile concepts into compelling physical objects and experiences.
Our Expertise
Soft Practice draws on two decades of experience in textile research, design and fabrication, grounded in a deep understanding of material-driven processes. Informed by a background spanning craft, contemporary art, industrial design, and education, the studio brings a rare combination of material intelligence, technical skill, and creative leadership to each project.
We collaborate with corporate clients, cultural institutions, designers, and creative teams to deliver textile-led work across luxury retail, living environments, academic, public and hospitality spaces.
Design Philosophy
Textiles are deeply connective; rooted in history, culture, and embedded with material knowledge and traditions that carry across time and place. Soft Practice Studio values textiles as a catalyst for human connection, capable of creating meaningful exchange, and transforming space on an architectural and intimate scale. Through tactile, material-led design, we create objects and experiences that foreground touch, materiality, presence and narrative, allowing textiles to function as both structure and story.
